Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a complementary and alternative therapy the use of which is based on the Law of Similars and involves the administration of ultra-dilute medicines prepared according to methods specified in the various official national homeopathic pharmacopoeias, with the aim of stimulating the body’s capacity to heal itself. It has been introduced by Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann in 18th century.

Treating with homeopathy involves the following stages:

  • Collecting information

  • Matching symptoms reported by a patient with the drug pictures

  • Confirming the choice by questions based on modalities

  • Choosing the correct dose and frequency

  • Following up with the patient and symptoms

The mechanism of Homeopathy is still unknown but it believes disease is an expression of the vital force and because everyone is unique, the treatment should be individualized instead of common symptoms. It is believed that disease is due to disturbed factors in the body and environment.
